PRIME:Leadership
Develops the strategic leadership capabilities of public sector managers
PRIME: Leadership has been created specifically to develop the leadership capabilities of the public sector managers. Content for the programme was developed in collaboration with Lancaster University Management School and includes over 20 hours of high quality e-learning on leadership theory.
PRIME: Leadership is made up of the following:
- Current thinking
- Perspectives on Leadership, featuring audio interviews with senior leaders such as:
- Sir Andrew Turnbull (former Secretary of the Cabinet and the Head of the Home Civil Service)
- Greg Dyke (former Director-General of the BBC)
- Rachel Lomax (Deputy Governor of the Bank of England)
- Sue Street (Permanent Secretary of the Department of Culture, Media and Sport)
- People
- Strategic thinking
- Change and Organisational learning
Each module is divided into learning units:
- Your experience, comparing your experiences with the material presented in other units
- Tutorial, introducing key theories and concepts indispensable to effective leaders
- Examples, presents a case study to illustrate leadership issues
- Challenge, a hypothetical scenario for you to analyse
- Thoughts, illuminating quotes from experts
- Offline activities, tasks or challenges for you to do away
from your PC
- Next steps, articles, books and web addresses for reference or peer discussion
