The Protecting Information programme run by the Virtual School scooped two prizes at the IT Training Awards. The Ceremony, held at the prestigious Dorchester Hotel in central London was attended by Ken Ingram and Sharon Wiltshire.

The programme is a joint effort from the National School of Government’s e-learning team, and Sharon Witlshire from the Information Security team (and Cabinet Office) along with development company Epic. But the hard work was also shared amongst ICT, marketing and many others.

Commenting this morning Ken said, “I’m actually really rather relieved! This is the third lot of awards we’ve been put up for now and I was beginning to think it wasn’t going to happen.”

He went on to explain that, “the e-learning team organised the whole programme which included design consultation and project management. Sharon led on the subject matter and Epic with the development.”

Finally Ken observed that, “It’s quite something to think that this programme has gone out to more than 250,000 people in the civil service. It really is a relief to be finally recognised for our work.”
