Below is a range of providers of commissioning related training which commissioners may find helpful. The list outlines courses provided by public sector-type, non-profit making, national accreditation organisations, or similar. The National Programme for Third Sector Commissioning is a critical strand of ‘Partnership in public services: an action plan for third-sector involvement’.
The three main outcomes of the programme are:
• increased awareness and understanding

Provide commissioning and procurement workshops for the third sector from both a commissioning and negotiating to be commissioned perspective
Provide workshops on “The benefits and challenges of best value and sustainable funding” aimed at commissioners and procurers in the public sector.  They provide an introduction to assessing the full costs in third sector funding applications.
